Support Connection is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has been offering free personalized support programs for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer since 1996. By providing our individualized services in a warm, caring environment, Support Connection has made a difference in thousands of lives.

On Sunday, October 2, 2011, at FDR State Park, nearly 10,000 people participated in our 17th Annual Support-A-Walk. Teams and individuals walked to raise awareness about breast and ovarian cancer and to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2012 FDR State Park, pre-Walk activities 9am, Walk begins 10am
The Walk is held to raise breast and ovarian cancer awareness. Proceeds from the Walk benefit Support Connection's FREE support services all year long for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The three-mile Walk is held at FDR State Park (Route 202 off Taconic State Parkway) with pre-Walk activities beginning at 9:00 am. At 10:00 am, the ribbon is cut and the Walk begins. People walk in teams or as individuals. Some walk in memory of or in celebration and support of people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. There is a warm-up session preceding the Walk and refreshments and entertainment after the Walk. Watch for more information in the spring.
