We are pleased to announce that Support Connection’s 11th Annual Gala and Silent Auction will take place as planned on Friday, April 4, 2008. The Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Fishkill is a beautiful facility where we will enjoy a wonderful evening. We are delighted they have agreed to be our hosts this year. The Holiday Inn (www.hifishkill.com) is located at the junction of Interstate 84 and Route 9, only 100 yards from Exit 13 on 84, less than 30 minutes from Yorktown, and a just few miles from Putnam. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert, dancing to live music, an open bar, as well as a silent auction and raffle with many valuable gifts and prizes.
We thank Alan & Leon Drogy of Colonial Terrace for their commitment to Support Connection and our mission. Following the recent fire at their facility, they have partnered with the Holiday Inn Fishkill to insure that our Gala is a memorable event. We send our very best wishes to the Drogy family as they rebuild, and we look forward to returning to Colonial Terrace in the future.

The evening begins with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, followed by a sit-down dinner. A cash bar is available during dinner. Following dinner is the fashion show, featuring the latest and newest trends in hair, make-up, clothes and jewelry. Models will be clients of Shine Salon & Spa and Support Connection survivors, ranging in age from 17 to 80, all volunteering their time. Custom fashions by Jane Wilson Marquis Couture Bridal and Eveningwear and David’s A Gentleman’s Clothier LTD. Hair and makeup will be provided by Lorraine Frustace of Shine Salon & Spa. Goodie bags will be given out to all attendees. Proceeds will benefit Support Connection’s free programs and services for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
